- Celebrate the arts in ARTober during the entire month of October in Alpharetta. There will be many events and happenings including live music, dance, theatre, and classes. There are activities for the entire family and many of them are free. (City of Alpharetta)
- Interested in planning a family reunion or other event? Check out a free workshop at the Preston Ridge Community Center in Alpharetta from 10 am to noon on Oct. 15. The workshop will cover how Alpharetta offers facilities, shopping, dining and entertainment to make it the perfect location for special events. The presentation will cover many types of gatherings, including reunions for schools, military units, corporate groups and professional organizations. (Awesome Alpharetta)
- It's almost time for Crabapple Fest in Milton, the annual arts festival on Saturday, October 1.
It will take place on Crabapple Road and will have food, antiques and art vendors. There will also be football on a large screen so you won't miss a game. The event is rain or shine. (City of Milton)

- It's time to sign up for Alpharetta's youth basketball league. Don’t miss out on our 8 game season! Open registration runs until October 9th. (City of Alpharetta)
- Interested in some new books and supporting your community? The Milton library has a booksale in the barn Tuesdays 1:00-5:30. Choose from over 10,000 selections; all proceeeds benefit programs offered at the library including theatre, games and crafts. You can also make donations 24/7 in the slot on the west side of the barn. (Milton Library)
- The Bell Memorial Park parking lot in Milton recently got a facelift in the form of a “high-density mineral bond surface treatment." Workers painted new lines and handicap markings around the paved areas. It's ready for the many actitivies and games taking place there. (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
