Alpharetta Arts Center Grand Opening On Oct. 4

The new Arts Center is housed in the former location of the Alpharetta public library at 238 Canton Street.

ALPHARETTA, GA — The city of Alpharetta on Thursday will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new Alpharetta Center. The event will be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 4 at 238 Canton Street.

The facility is housed in the former location of the Alpharetta public library, and it will feature multiple visual arts studios, clay studio, digital media studio, black-box theater studio, gallery exhibits and art events.

It will also provide a centrally located building for cultural arts classes, programs, exhibits, lectures and intimate performances, the city said. Throughout the month of October, the center will host select art work from Alpharetta and Milton artists in its new gallery.

City leaders in 2017 approved a $3.1 million contract with to renovate the former library to fit its future use as an arts center.
