- Due to the cold temperatures, there is major strain on our electricity supplies. Here are some measures you should take to help. Lower your thermostat at least 2 degrees, shut off electricics that you aren't using and unplug them. In addition, minimize your use of hot water if you have an electric hot water heater. We need to make sure the power grid is operating, especially while it's bitter cold. (City of Milton)
- A generous group of City of Milton employees helped 10 local families in need enjoy the holidays. The group, called Operation Milton Christmas, found the families through Fulton County Schools, and received wishlists from the children. Then, the employees shopped for the families, using their own money. Maddy Post and Micaela Burke, both members of Team Milton, helped to pull it all together! (City of Milton)
- The remains of a person located in nearby Canton have been identified. John Waller was found on Nov. 17 at Reformation Parkway, near the Waleska Street Underpass. Police are trying to determine the cause of death for the 62 year old. If you have any information about the case, call the Canton Police Department at 770-720-4883. (11Alive.com WXIA)
