Here are the top stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:

1. The recent plane crash in Alpharetta near Kimball Bridge Rd. is being investigated by the NTSB, and they will providing all updates. It's possible that the Big Creek Greenway will continue to be closed. The crash resulted in two deaths, and both individuals were passengers in the plane. 2. The Alpharetta jail is set to reopen next week and can hold 70 detainees. It was closed due to COVID-19 and its opening means that detainees won't have to be transported to the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. The jail is located off Old Milton Parkway. (Appen)
3. There's a new fire station coming to Milton! It will be cutting edge and was built to minimize regular maintenence. It's on schedule to be completed in the spring of 2023 and will last 50+ years. (City of Milton)
