  1. Five men were caught in an Alpharetta sting operation where police were in chat rooms online pretending to be children. The sting was designed to catch adults who were trying to "to solicit and or entice underage children for sexual acts or indecent purposes," said Alpharetta Police Lt. Andrew Splawn." The five men are Neal Wurtz, Erick Garcia Salinas, Jose Juan Hernandez, August Julien Rich and Douglas Earl Cropf Jr. Police are still searching for 26-year-old Tyquand Caldwell and 43-year-old Christopher Frazier. Please contact Alpharetta Police if you have information on them. Parents are reminded to monitor their children's online activities and encourage them to report any suspicious or inappropriate communication. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Gerardo Ordaz, age 17, was taken into custody after allegedly hitting two women with his car and leaving the scene in Roswell. The women, who are in their 70's, were walking in the Roxburgh subdivision early morning, and were discovered by a passerby who called 911. Ordaz was identified by license place readers and evidence at the scene and was brought to the Fulton County Jail. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  3. Are you familiar with the historic Thomas Byrd Sr. house in Milton? This city owned property at 15690 Hopewell Road recently underwent many improvements including new signage, safer stone patio, new plantings and stabilization of its hill. The house is used for many functions, including knitting classes, games and yoga classes. (City of Milton)
