- There are many fun programs for children who like to create art in Milton! Starting this week, the City is running classes through Kidcreate Art Studio, and there are different options depending on your child's age. Classes are for children ages 2 to 12, and some take place during school vacation days. All these programs will take place in the Community Center at Milton City Park and Preserve (1785 Dinsmore Road). To sign-up, go to www.miltonga.gov/Registration and click on the “Art” tab.
- A teenager from nearby Cherokee County has advanced to the finals on the "Jeopardy" show! Justin Bolsen, a student at Brown University, could win up to $100,000 and be included in the Tournament of Champions. He graduated from Creekview High School in Canton and made it to the "Jeopardy" semifinals in 2019. For information on where to watch “Jeopardy,” visit www.jeopardy.com/watch.(Cherokee Tribune Ledger News)
- North Fulton County cities are weighing in on whether to run their own local elections, versus continuing to have Fulton County manage them. Roswell and Milton have decided to manage their own elections, and Alpharetta will decide whether to partner with them later this month, along with Mountain Park. Johns Creek will continue to let Fulton County manage theirs until 2025. Matters that affect the cities' decisions include cost, efficiency of Fulton County and the number of polling locations.
