- Are you planning to travel during the holidays? Alpharetta residents can take advantage of a free Vacation Watch program. After you register with the Police, they stop by your house periodically and check to make sure your doors and windows are ok. They will contact you if anything is amiss. (City of Alpharetta)
- Milton residents will have an electronic recycling event this upcoming Saturday at Bell Memorial Park. Most items are free except for monitors and tv sets. Items with data such as cell phones will be held securely until they are wiped or shredded. Registration is required and there is no limit to how many participate in this event. (City of Milton)
- The Kimball Road Corridor Improvement project in Alpharetta won an award from the Georgia Tree Council. This project was developed to reduce traffice speeds and make walking easier and more enjoyable. “The City of Alpharetta is to be commended for enhancing and calming this section of roadway through the adding of trees and greenspace,” said Mary Lynne Beckley, Executive Director of the Georgia Tree Council. “This redesign also makes it much healthier, safer, and more appealing to pedestrians who use the sidewalks. We congratulate them on their good work.” (City of Alpharetta)
