  1. The Alpharetta Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival is tonight! The weather forecast is perfect for the event, and here are some helpful tips. Performances will start at 5 p.m. on the six outdoor stages. There is limited seating available, and you are welcome to bring your own portable chairs. People can enjoy themed party rooms and select from a number of packages that include cake, candy, dress-up clothes, and even the possibility of sleepovers.   • "Andrew Goldberg, VP of Corporate Strategy for Cox Communications and a longtime volunteer with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, will be honored as the Volunteer of the Year for his work with raising funds for and awareness of IBD, which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis." He is an immediate past president of the board of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation - Georgia Chapter and a member of the Chapter’s Nominating and Volunteer Engagement Committee.
