  1. The Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA held a fun filled Holiday Extravaganza to celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, and Kwanzaa! More than 300 people attended and enjoyed food, crafts, music and much more. The YMCA wants to thank their vendors, who are MaPa's Matzoh Ball Soup, BIGhead Cartoons, Mochinut, Alpharetta Ford and Honey by Jazz. (YMCA)
  2. The Alpharetta Arts Center is in need of a donated gently used baby grand piano. It will be played at concerts on the front terrace of the center . The Ekphrasis baby grand piano currently at the Arts Center will be transformed into a piece of sculpture art by artist Shelton Cochran and will be displayed next spring. `If you are interested in donating your baby grand piano, please email arts-culture@alpharetta.ga.us or call 678-297-6135.(Alpharetta Arts Center)
  3. Milton residents are encouraged to take advantage of a free service to help keep their homes safe when they're out of town. You can sign up for a "vacation check", which means the police or public safety ambassador will watch your house. You will be notified if anything is amiss. All you need to do is fill out an online form.(City of Milton)
  4. Another great opportunity for Milton residents is the Ride-Along Program where you will learn what it's like to be a police officer. You can spend a few hours in a police vehicle or with a squad. It's for residents aged 18 and older; residents ages 16-17 can participate if they're are enrolled in the Milton Police Department's Police Explorers Program and have permission from their parent or guardian.
