- Alpharetta's Ameris Bank Amphitheatre has announced their initial concert schedule for 2023! The list includes Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Kenny Loggins, KIDZ Bop and many more! More shows will be announced over the next several weeks. Tickets are on sale now for some events. (Ameris)
- Mark your calendars for ShamRockin' for a Cure on Mar. 18 at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta. This fun event starts at 7 p.m. and will have live music, refreshments and a silent auction. All proceeds will go towards the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- A seventh- grade student was raped by her teacher at Fulton Academy of Science and Technology, known as FAST. The school is located at Crabapple Road in Roswell. Robert Vandel, a science teacher, raped the student during recess and is serving a 10- year sentence. This teacher had many complaints logged prior to working at FAST, and the girl's family is now suing because they believe the school failed to check his background before hiring him. In addition, his teaching license had previously been suspended. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- A domestic dispute in Roswell resulted in a SWAT standoff for over two hours. The suspect allegedly shot his mother's boyfriend at their residence near the corner of Grove Way and Forest Street on Friday afternoon. Then, the shooter barricaded himself in the house; he finally surrendered to the police. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
