- Tot time is back at Wills Park, 11925 Wills Road, Alpharetta this Friday, Sept. 9 at 10:45 a.m. Bring your toddler and take part in activities including finger painting, fun active songs, and themed related crafts. It's free and no registration is required! (Alpharetta Recreation)
- The Alpharetta Scarecrow Harvest is coming soon, and applications are due on Sept. 9. This is the 17th year of Alpharetta’s scarecrows and the downtown area will have over 150 scarecrows on display from Oct. 3 – Nov. 1. Local schools, classrooms, nonprofits, neighborhoods, families, and local businesses are invited to join! (City of Alpharetta)
- Lagarde American Eatery, featuring cuisine inspired by the flavors of New Orleans, will open at Crabapple Market in Milton in late 2022. It will serve food inspired by Chef Jamie’s New Orleans family roots. The interior will feature graffiti–like vignettes, a tempting oyster display, and an “everything goes” bar designed with one thing in mind: fun. Lagarde will open at 4 p.m. Tuesday though Sunday and will be open for brunch beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. (City of Milton)

- Check out the Studio Gallery of the Alpharetta Arts Center at 238 Canton St. The current exhibit showcases RidersGiveBack: an exploration of the juxtaposition between the graceful, preppy world of equestrians and Atlanta’s counterculture. The exhibit takes place through Sept. 23. Artist Will Haselden is a DJ and mixed media artist that has been heavily influenced by street art through his travels around the world. - Learn how to use your knives like a professional while creating a homemade gourmet meal at Publix Aprons Cooking at Alpharetta Commons, 4305 State Bridge Road. Publix classes are a fun way to spend time with family and friends. The class starts at 6:30 p.m. (Publix)
- See the Human DJ at Roaring Social, 35 Milton Ave., Alpharetta this evening from 8-11 p.m. Human DJ plays the piano, trumpet and organ and has become a phenomenal performer for some of Atlanta’s top clubs. Reservations are not required. (Roaring Social)

- Local families are invited to a family-friendly Trunk or Treat from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Cumming Fairgrounds main parking lot (260 Castleberry Road, located on the east side of Castleberry Road. The purpose of the event is for children to have fun while learning about Halloween safety. Admission is just one unopened bag of candy per family. (Forsyth County)
- Alpharetta and Milton drivers experienced another drop in gasoline prices of five cents per gallon on average over the past week, but hurricane season could reverse that trend at any time. According to the weekly press release from Montrae Waiters, the spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group, Georgia drivers are now paying an average of $3.33 per gallon. “However, hurricane season is underway, and a hurricane has the potential to cause a disruption to oil and gas operations.” (Cobb County Courier)
- Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA members are invited to participate in a free five-week field hockey clinic. The YMCA is partnering with the Atlanta Field Hockey Club to offer this program to children aged 6-12. Field hockey is played by both men and women in the Olympics on a turf field. (Alpharetta YMCA)
