- Come out tonight and enjoy the Alpharetta Mayor's Corporate Challenge 5K; it starts and ends at City Hall. In addition to the race, there will be food trucks, sponsor tents and music, which will be fun for the entire family. Several downtown streets will be closed down between 5-9:30 p.m. (City of Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, Cultural Services via Facebook)
- A Milton woman lost nearly $8,000 after thieves used her cards to make fraudulent charges. She believes that her cards were stolen while she was shopping at the Kroger on Highway 9. The cards were used to make purchases at the Apple store in Alpharetta and Nordstrom's before they were canceled. (Appen)
- Gwinnet County Police are searching for the individual who stabbed Matthew Jones to death on Labor Day outside his parents' house in Suwanee. They have a video that might show the suspect leaving the stabbing scene. The police are asking anyone who has information on the stabbing, to contact them. (FOX 5 Atlanta)

- Crabapple Fest is planned for this Saturday in Milton and officials are watching the weather forecast. The annual event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Crabapple Road, rain or shine. The festival will feature food, entertainment, art and football on a big screen. (Crabapple Fest)
- The Hindu Service Society visited the Milton Public Safety complex to celebrate Raksha Bandhana — a celebration of sisterly and brotherly respect and love. "Females from the group tied bracelets, called rakhis, onto Milton police officers and firefighters’ wrists to honor their roles as our community’s protectors. HSS also shared sweet treats with Milton’s first responders, as well as samosas." (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
- It’s always a good idea to be prepared in case there's a disaster. "If you think you are up for the challenge and want to be able to do more for your community after a disaster hits [and you know your family is safe], you can by being a part of our Alpharetta Community Emergency Response Team."
