  1. The City of Alpharetta needs an artist to restore a sculpture in Alpharetta’s Brook Street Park. It is "The Visitor" by Canadian artist Geemon Xin Meng, and it was installed in 2018. The piece is made of "fiberglass over an armature, painted with acrylics." The finished restoration needs to take in account the sculpture's location and allow the surface to remain outside for 5-7 years. The artist must be over 18 and have experience working with fiberglass and outdoor sculptures. (City of Alpharetta)
  2. Milton has many scouts (both boys and girls) who volunteer in our community and help with projects including events such as the Independence Parade and Memorial Day. In addition, they have created horse-themed trail maps at Birmingham Park, signs along Providence Park's wheelchair accessible trail, a box at the Police station where people can leave their worn American flags and more! The scouts belong to Girl Scouts and Scouts BSA which includes individuals from Cub Scouts to Eagle Scouts. The community is thankful for all the scouts and their leaders! (City of Milton)
  3. Are you a citizen aged 55 and older who's interested in volunteering in the AmeriCorps Senior Companion Program? The Fulton County Department of Senior Services is looking for individuals to provide care to help senior residents to live in their own homes as long as possible. Tasks include cleaning, shopping and helping to pay bills. In addition, the volunteers provide companionship and respite to family caregivers. Contact the Fulton County Senior Services STARline at 404-613-6000 for more information. (City of Alpharetta)
