• Alpharetta High School Art Students Inspire Community Pride through Mural Project (fultonschools.org) — Alpharetta High School art students are transforming the city’s Big Creek Greenway with 14 new public murals themed around clean water and environmental stewardship. Selected through a competitive process, the teens worked with a professional muralist and city partners, overcoming weather and technical challenges to create large-scale artwork residents can enjoy for miles along the trail.
   

• Alpharetta jail reopens, ready to accept inmates (wabe.org) — Alpharetta’s city-run jail has officially reopened, giving police and courts a nearby place to hold inmates instead of transporting them to Fulton County’s downtown facility. The refurbished 72-bed Alpharetta Detention Center now has new staff, updated operations, and could soon house inmates from Johns Creek, Milton, and Roswell under proposed agreements.
   

• Maya Sands and Caylen Alexander Earn AVCA All-American Honors - University of Missouri Athletics (mutigers.com) — An Alpharetta native, senior outside hitter Caylen Alexander, has earned AVCA All-American Honorable Mention honors for her standout volleyball season at the University of Missouri. She led the Tigers in kills and added strong serving and defensive stats, while teammate Maya Sands also secured All-American recognition for her record-setting defensive play.
