  1. ARTober month in Alpharetta has been exciting for the community! "Connie Lynn Reilly Fine Portraits & Paintings won the Best Portrait Award in the August PleinAir Salon! Connie is also part of the All About Pastel by the Southeastern Pastel Society Exhibit that will be on display on starting Oct. 31 – Nov. 29. Be sure to join Alpharetta Arts Center on Demo Day Nov. 12 from 10 – 11:30 to see her in action and put your own skills to the test!" (City of Alpharetta)
  2. Milton’s City Council met regarding "revisions to City Code pertaining to alcohol-related businesses, a vote that culminated months of intensive, engaging discussions involving elected officials, City staff, business owners and citizens." There was a lot of discussion around the "barrel production limit for microbreweries and microdistilleries. " Now that the revisions are in place, "the months-long moratorium on applications for new alcohol licenses across a variety of categories was lifted." (City of Milton)
  3. Alpharetta and Milton are included in a freeze warning as temperatures may drop into the 20's at night. In addition to the cold, it's expected to be windy, which will make it feel more chilly. Temperatures are expected to return to the 70's later this week into next week. (East Cobb News)
