- Are you a fried chicken fan? You're in luck — Yelp has a list of the top 25 restaurants for fried chicken and number one is in Alpharetta! It's Kimchi Red, located at 3630 Old Milton Parkway, Suite 110. They serve Korean fried chicken. Other Georgia restaurants in the list are South City Kitchen Midtown in Atlanta and Mr. Wilke's Dining Room in Savannah. (11Alive.com WXIA)
- The City of Milton is asking for help from the public to name a park located at a 106-acre greenspace off Lackey Road. This beautiful property is accessible along a gravel road that starts at State Route 140/Arnold Mill Road. It has a 1.5-mile trial and a gravel parking lot. Please submit your suggestion at nameourparks@miltonga.gov before July 24. The final decision will be made by Mayor Peyton Jamison and city councilmembers. In addition, the City of Milton has a survey about parks here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/G3NPTLW, please take a few moments to fill it out. (City of Milton)
- Good news for Milton motorists — the city is trying to make the intersection at Bethany Bend and Highway 9 more safe. There are many accidents at that location, and the city will install a new sign soon telling people not to turn right at a red light. After the sign is installed, the city will gather data on accidents and traffic backups at that intersection to see if the sign has made a difference. After August, the data will be used to determine if the sign should remain permanently. (City of Milton)
