  1. Would your children benefit from a discussion on how to safely drive their bikes? There will be a workshop on that topic next Monday at the Alpharetta Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Officer Amanda will read a bike themed story and lead a conversation on how to stay safe. The children will be able to view a police bicycle. (City of Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, Cultural Services via Facebook)
  2. The City of Roswell is planning to demolish an apartment building that has been condemned. It's located at 199 Grove Way, and all the residents have been relocated to other housing. The 40-unit building was operated by the Roswell Housing Authority, and there will be new apartments built at that location starting in early 2024. The new building will be designed for seniors with disabilities. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. Four businesses in nearby Dunwoody were recently cited for selling alcohol to minors. Undercover officers checked 17 businesses and the four that weren't in compliance with the laws were the "BP gas station on North Peachtree Road, the Walmart and Perimeter Bottle Shop on Ashford Dunwoody Road, and the Total Wine location on Perimeter Center West. " The individuals who were caught selling the alcohol to minors will also "face administrative sanctions from the Georgia Department of Revenue." (Appen)
  4. Paul Moore of Milton is suing Tony Palazzo, who is the White Columns HOA president, over an ethics violation. In August 2022, Moore, a Milton City Councilman at the time, was found guilty of three ethics violations in related to the City of Milton reimbursing "part of the costs for traffic calming devices installed by the White Columns Homeowners Association, a neighborhood in which Moore resides." Now Moore is trying to be reimbursed for his legal fees regarding this case. "Milton Mayor Peyton Jamison said the lawsuit is a civil matter between two parties, and the City of Milton takes no position on it." (Appen)
