Biometrics Firm Relocating To Alpharetta Bringing Money, Jobs

The biometric tech firm is bringing $5 million and 40 jobs to the city, according to a release from the governor's office.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Alpharetta will be home to the new U.S. headquarters for ZKTeco, a global manufacturer for biometric technology, according to a release from Gov. Brian Kemp's office. The move means 40 new jobs and $5 million invested, the release says.

New jobs at the 5,000-square-foot location will consist of inside sales, tech support, research and development, light assembly, quality control and logistics, according to the release.

“I am pleased to welcome ZKTeco to Georgia,” said Kemp. “As global companies seek to expand in North America, they are finding that Georgia is an ideal location in terms of accessibility, cost-effectiveness, access to skilled talent, and an excellent quality of life. I am confident that ZKTeco made the right decision to locate their U.S. headquarters in Alpharetta.”

ZKTeco has locations in countries all over the world, including China, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, U.K., Spain, South Africa, Egypt, Turkey, Dubai, India and others. The release says they're the biggest developer and manufacturer of RFID and biometric recognition tech.

Customers will be able to visit the facility to interact with the latest in the company's AI and biometric technology.

“Alpharetta is excited to welcome ZKTeco into our community,” said Alpharetta Mayor Jim Gilvin, according to the release. “Chairman Che and President Dalal have built a dynamic company built on innovation, much like our city, and we look forward to a prosperous future together.”
