• NAMB year in review: Continued growth in baptisms, church planting highlights of 2025 (baptistpress.com) — Alpharetta residents may be interested to know that the North American Mission Board, headquartered here, is celebrating another year of growth in baptisms, church planting, and disaster relief efforts across North America. From hundreds of new churches and major evangelism trainings to extensive volunteer work after hurricanes and wildfires, the organization reports expanding outreach while continuing to host key orientations and events at its Alpharetta facility.
   

• McLeod Children's Hospital Welcomes Facility Dog (dillonnews.org) — A highly trained facility dog named Sugar, born and raised in Alpharetta at the Canine Assistants nonprofit, is now comforting young patients full-time at McLeod Children’s Hospital. Her Alpharetta-based training included thousands of hours of individualized and group instruction, preparing her to help kids stay calm, learn medical routines, and find motivation during difficult hospital stays.
