Here are the top stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:

  1. Milton Police are running its annual blood drive next month. It will take place on Tuesday, May 16 from 2-7 p.m. at Stonecreek Church, located at 13540 Highway 9. You can sign up now for an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org ; then enter “MPD” as the sponsor code. You could save a life! (City of Milton)
  2. A Johns Creek man contacted police because of threats received for money. He has received texts demanding $4,000 for gambling losses and told police the story is false. His wife has received texts saying that the suspect would come after her and her daughter, who lives in Alpharetta. The sender texted her pictures from her daughter's Instagram page. (Appen Media)
  3. A man was arrested in Johns Creek for allegedly pleasuring himself in public. Two women saw him in a park with his pants down near Old Alabama Road, where he was taken into custody by police. Police believe he is the same suspect who was caught on video doing the same thing in a nearby neighborhood. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  4. A couple had their baby's ashes stolen from an urn at Wellstar Kennestone hospital. Kieran Massey and his fiancée, Carla, had a stillborn baby girl last August. Her ashes were placed in an urn inside a teddy bear. While Carla was showering at the hospital, the teddy bear was stolen. Police have arrested Anilus Frederic and his wife Rosnie Frederic for the theft; they had previously worked the hospital's linen facility. When the urn and teddy bear were returned to the baby's parents, the ashes had been thrown out. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
