Burglaries Lead To Increased Police Presence In Milton

Recent burglaries reported in Milton include two at Haystack Lane, police said.

MILTON, GA — Police officers in Milton are planning to increase their presence after a string of recent burglaries, police said Sunday.

The Milton Police Department responded to two burglaries around 9 p.m. Friday in the 14000 block of Haystack Lane. Police said the homes were ransacked, and items were taken.

Officers responded Saturday night to an attempted burglary at Lower Meadow Lane, police said.

It is unclear if the attempted burglary is related to the Haystack Lane burglaries.

Police presence will increase in the areas during a search for suspects, police said.

"The Milton Police Department takes all criminal activity within our city very seriously. We want our citizens to know that we have stepped up patrols within the community and detectives have placed a priority on the investigation of these crimes. We want to remind our citizens to be extra vigilant, especially during the holiday season, and please do not hesitate to call 911 if they see anything suspicious," police said in a news release.
