Here are the top stories today in Alpharetta-Milton:

  1. Mark your calendar for Carvin' in Crabapple this Sunday at Broadwell Pavilion in Milton. This family event will feature pumpkin carving (bring your own), treats, face painting, balloon artists and many more fun activities. It will take place from 2 to 5 PM. (City of Milton)
  2. There's exciting news for four Milton schools - the City of Milton has awarded grants to support programs that encourage sustainability. The schools that received the grants are Milton High, Cogburn Woods, Northwestern and Summit Hill. This program is open to all Milton schools and the funds will aid projects including adding composting, plant bulbs and landscaping improvements. (Press Release Desk )
  3. It's that time of year again - the City Of Milton is mailing out property tax bills to residents who pay them directly to the city. They should arrive in the next week. You have the option of paying by check or online; payments are due by December 15. (Press Release Desk )
  4. Alpharetta tax bills were mailed to residents who don't pay through a mortage or escrow earlier this month. Payments can be made online or through the mail and are due on December 1. If you haven't received your invoice by now, contact the city through taxes@alpharetta.ga.us. (City of Alpharetta)

  • If you see an issue in Alpharetta that needs to be addressed, you can easily report it to the city using the online SeeClickFix tool. It can be used for many issues including potholes, traffic problem and unkept property. You will receive a response to your request, including if another party needs to take care of it.   • The City of Milton recently celebrated Mayfield Park, located at 1000 Mayfield Rd. "Taylor Morrison (which developed the nearby Lakeside at Crabapple neighborhood) spent about $1 million to create the park before generously donating it, in full, to the City of Milton." This beautiful property has walking trails, pavilion, pergola and a pond. (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
  • Free Covid testing is now available in Sandy Springs 24/7. Fulton County has opened two new kiosks in Sandy Springs and Atlanta. Patients can test themselves and return the test to the kiosk. They will be notified by email or text within 48 hours from an accredited lab. The vending machines are part of a partnership between the Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency and the Georgia Department of Public Health. (WSB-TV)
