'Conflicting Accounts' Given In LeSean McCoy Home Invasion: Cops

Delicia Cordon, the former girlfriend of the NFL running back, is offering a $40,000 reward to identify the suspect who attacked her.

MILTON, GA — Milton police are responding to a press conference held by the former girlfriend of NFL star LeSean McCoy, the man she alleges was behind a violent home invasion and assault that left her battered and bruised in July. Delicia Cordon on Friday held a press conference with her attorney where she announced a $40,000 reward for information leading to the identification of a suspect in the case.

According to USA Today, Cordon said she lives her everyday life in fear that "not knowing if I’m walking past the man who savagely attacked me." Cordon said the assault was orchestrated by the Buffalo Bills running-back to obtain jewelry he requested she return to him. She went on to say that her ex-boyfriend is not cooperating with authorities, and has not turned over security footage Cordon and her attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham, have requested.

An unknown intruder broke into the home on Hickory Pass during the early morning hours of July 10 and assaulted her while asking her to turn over jewelry. The Milton Police Department, which is investigating the incident, said its probe remains active and that it can't disclose details of the investigation "in order to protect the long-term integrity of the case." The agency previously said detectives believed the house "was specifically targeted by the suspect or suspects, and not a random incident."

Milton police did, however, share a few more details related to its case, including the timeline between 911 dispatchers received the call and when police and EMS crews arrived at the residence. Those dispatchers received the call at 3:10 a.m. July 10 through the Alpharetta Emergency Communications Center and dispatched at 3:19 a.m. Milton police and fire/EMS personnel arrived at the scene at 3:29 a.m.

Milton police said they've been focused on a white Chevrolet Impala or Malibu as a possible vehicle involved in the case, not a Dodge Charger, as stated during Cordon's press conference.

Milton detectives have unearthed "multiple material inconsistencies in the statements given by those involved in the case. Additionally, McCoy, who police said possibly had personal items taken from the house, also "has not been cooperative in the investigation, despite requests by Milton Police detectives to Mr. McCoy's attorneys."

Police also said they were not aware that a private investigator has been hired. However, the agency said its detectives did receive a call from a person claiming to be an investigator helping Cordon's attorney in the case, but could not independently verify that person's assertion. The agency stressed that it welcomes new or additional information related to the case, but does not have any details it could add at this time.

"The Milton Police Department recognizes that Ms. Cordon and the other victims in the home have been through a traumatic experience, and we are committed to bringing those responsible to justice," the agency added.

McCoy continues to deny the allegations levied by Cordon, adding that anyone can use social media to hurl accusations, according to the Democrat & Chronicle. He went on to say he is not going to spend time worrying about the "ridiculous" statements.
