- The City of Milton needs the public's input about a new road project. There are plans to improve Cox Road, including all of its intersections with other streets. Today, stop by Legacy Park , located at 170 Cox Road, between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to learn what's being discussed and provide input. You can also do the same online through May 26 at https://planningatpond.com/cox-road.
- Alpharetta's laws regarding how alcoholic beverages can be delivered were recently changed by a City Council vote. They are now in alignment with the state's laws regarding wine and beer purchases for off-premises consumption. Now, customers can purchase packaged wine and beer for off-premises consumption from eating establishments. If an eating establishment, supermarket or brew pub wants to sell packaged wine and beer for off premises they need to submit an application for a license. - Milton's Farmers Market will have a special activity today. In addition to fresh produce, flowers and hand-made items, you'll be able to play on a giant Scrabble board and support the Friends of the Milton Library. - In 2019, a newborn baby girl was found in the woods in Forsyth County in a plastic bag. Neighbor Alan Ragatz heard her crying and called police, who rescued her. An arrest has just been made in this case, over three years later. "Under Georgia's Safe Haven Law, a mother who does not want a newborn can take the child to a designated area such as a police department or fire station and hand the child over to law enforcement officers under no penalty of the law."
