Here are the top stories today in Alpharetta-Milton:
- Tonight is the big night (Halloween), and there will be tons of kids out in our community looking for candy. Please make sure to drive extra carefully. Take it slower than normal and watch for the little ones to avoid any problems on the roads. (City of Alpharetta)
- You can take your children to Fire Station 83, at 9600 Westside Pkwy in Alpharetta for candy tonight. The firefighters will be holding a drive through trick-or-treat event. It takes place from 5-9:00 PM. (City of Alpharetta)
- Do you have unwanted prescription drugs that you need to dispose of? You can drop them off at prescription drug drop off boxes at every Alpharetta Fire Station and Public Safety Headquarters located at 2565 Old Milton Pkwy. A full list of all drop off locations in Fulton County is here. (Drug Disposal Locations)
Patch deal of the day:
Good knives make all the difference in the kitchen, but you don’t need to overpay for them. Seido Japanese knives are made with strong high-carbon stainless steel (high-carbon knives are more durable and usually more expensive) and have an acute 15-degree angle for a noticeably sharper cutting face (most Western-style knives have edge angles of 25 degrees). For a limited time, Patch readers can get a 5-piece Seido Japanese master knife set for 71 percent off. At just under $70, this chef-quality set is perfect for any home cook and would also make a great gift for the holidays.
