Driver Killed When Car Leaves Road, Flips In Alpharetta

ALPHARETTA, GA — Alpharetta police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident reported overnight Wednesday.

A preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Windward Parkway near Alderman Drive when it veered off the road into an embankment, flipped and came to rest in the parking lot of a business, said Alpharetta Department of Public Safety spokesperson Howard Miller.

Miller said he believes the crash was called in to 911 dispatchers by an employee or a security guard patrolling the area.

One male was killed in the crash, and his identity remains unknown at this time. No other vehicles or people are suspected to be involved, Miller added.
