  1. Attention Alpharetta and Milton parents: are you interested in a drop-off sports camp for your children over the holidays? The Wills Park Recreation Center in Alpharetta will be having two sessions (Dec. 19-22 and Dec. 27-3) for children ages 3-6. They will learn a new sport each day, including basketball, football, soccer and t-ball. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. It's only December, but the Alpharetta City Council is thinking ahead to next July 4. They selected Pyro Shows East Coast for the July 4 fireworks celebration at Wills Park. This event requires coordination between many different groups within the city due to traffic and potential hazards associated with fireworks. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  3. A Johns Creek woman was targeted by fraudsters who were trying to steal $5,000 from her. She received a call in November from someone who said they were from Amazon, and she had $8,000 in charges on her Amazon charge card. They demanded a copy of her driver's license and told her to withdraw $5,000 from her bank accounts and open a cryptocurrency account. She didn't open the account or transfer any money but did send them her license. She ended the call and then contacted the police, who instructed her to fill out an Identity Theft Victim Resources sheet and notify the Department of Drivers Services that her license had been compromised. (Appen Media)
  4. An armed man was arrested close to the nearby Perimeter Mall after pointing a gun at Dunwoody Police. The police arrived at the Perimeter Square shopping center on Perimeter Center West after receiving a 911 call. The officers both shot at the individual and missed him. No injuries were reported, and the Sandy Springs police haven't released any additional information, including the armed man's identity. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
