  1. Make sure to vote in the Georgia Senate runoff election! You can vote early from Saturday, Nov. 26 through Friday, Dec 2. During early voting, registered Alpharetta and Milton residents can vote at any Fulton County early voting location. It will take place behind the Alpharetta Community Center at 175 Roswell St. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 starting at 5 p.m. You will enjoy a stroll with a lantern (bring your own) along a lighted path.   • Great news for Alpharetta and Milton residents this holiday week — gas prices dropped 6 cents compared to last week. The savings are even better when prices are compared to the same time last year — they are 13 cents lower per gallon. According to the weekly press release from Montrae Waiters, the spokeswoman for AAA – The Auto Club Group, Georgia drivers are now paying an average of $3.11 per gallon. This amounts to 13 cents less than motorists were paying this time last year. “The over 1.5 million Georgians hitting the road for Thanksgiving will find pump prices less expensive compared to last year,” said Waiters.   • Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no trash pickup for Alpharetta residents this Thursday. If your regular scheduled day is Thursday, you will receive service on Friday, Nov. 25. Customers who have regular service on Friday will have pickup on this Saturday.
