- Are you interested in learning yoga? The Alpharetta library has a class today from 11 a.m. to noon. It will be taught by Ms. Dhatri, and you will learn poses, breathing techniques and how yoga can benefit you! Registration isn't required; please bring a mat or towel and dress comfortably. - The Perimeter Mall in nearby Dunwoody was evacuated last Friday after a shooting in the food court. Two men were having an argument, and both were shot. One man left the mall after the shooting and was found by police at an apartment building off Pleasantdale Road. Both men were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and were stable. The mall was open on Saturday with additional security. (WSB-TV)
- A Johns Creek man was awarded $100,000 on Shark Tank for developing a string launcher toy. Austin Hillam, a student at Brigham Young University, and Stephen Fazio of Geneva, New York, were on an episode that aired on Dec. 9. The launcher is a piece of string that is safe to the touch while flying at approximately 35 mph. Fazio is a student at Georgia Tech and both men had been assembling the launchers by in Hillam's garage. While on the show, they negotiated a deal with Robert Herjavec and Kevin O'Leary for $100,000 with a combined 20 percent equity stake. (Finger Lakes Times)

- There is a new construction project in Milton that could cause minor traffic delays.
"The Georgia Department of Transportation is installing a 'mini-roundabout with a four-legged approach' at the intersection of Birmingham Highway (which is also State Route 372) and Birmingham Road/Hickory Flat Road. This will replace the current four-way stop near the 'Baby Publix' complex and 7 Acre restaurant." The project should be completed in 2024. (City of Milton) - President Joe Biden is planning to be in Atlanta next week on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He will visit the Ebenezer Baptist Church and make remarks there. Georgia Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock is the pastor of that historic church. (WTVC)
