  1. Temperatures in our area are expected to drop below freezing the next few nights, and the state has issued a freeze warning. Make sure to secure your pets/outdoor plants, shut off outside water and take measures to prevent your pipes from freezing. In addition, watch for ice on the roads, especially in the morning. This cold weather should ease starting on Monday. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. Last night, three GHSA football teams from Milton had playoff games. Milton High played Norcross, Cambridge High played Cartersville, and St. Francis High School played Trion High. They all advanced to the "Sweet 16" in their divisions and earned hosting privilege in this round! We are hoping they all will play in the state championships! (City of Milton)
  3. Have you checked out FOGÓN AND LIONS, one of the newer restaurants in Alpharetta? A recent review described it as a place that "fuels the senses with influences from Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. At the helm is chef Julio Delgado, who strives to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone who walks in." The cuisine is Spanish, with tapas, wood fired glazed Chilean Salmon, and unique seasonal cocktails. (Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine)
  4. Are you looking for some unique holiday gifts? Check out the Heartfelt Holiday Craft Market at the Preston Ridge Community Center in Alpharetta on Dec. 3. There will be items for sale made by adults with disabilities and Santa will be there for pictures! You can purchase jewelry, pottery, treats and much more. (City of Alpharetta)

"Gina and her partner, Paramedic Kristi Adams, were responding to a 911 call in Forsyth County when their ambulance was struck by another vehicle. Kristi is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries she sustained in the accident. Gina was an extraordinarily dedicated EMT and was a respected member of the Forsyth County 911 response team." • The Cogburn Woods Elementary School PTO wants to thank the community for recent donations. As a result, each staff member and teacher will receive a $30 Amazon gift card, and a few lucky winners will get larger ones! "Everyone got to come in and grab a yummy treat from Great Harvest Bread Company along with their gift card. " (Cogburn Woods Elementary School PTO via Facebook)
  • Donations are needed for an upcoming Bike Alpharetta and the Bikes for Kids event, where local children will receive bikes for the holidays. You can donate bikes at several locations in our area, and 10-inch to 20-inch ones are especially appreciated. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can do so online. There are still a few more weeks to donate. (Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Facebook)
