ALPHARETTA, GA — An Alpharetta gun shop was the target of a smash and grab burglary reported earlier this month. Several guns and hundreds in cash were stolen from Alpharetta Bravo Armory, according to an incident report released by the Department of Public Safety.

Officers were dispatched to a motion alarm activation at the business on Marietta Street around 1:41 a.m. Nov. 9. Alpharetta police arrived to find the front glass door had been smashed open, but no suspicious vehicles or people were located at the scene of the burglary, the report states.

Upon making entry, officers found a case had several handguns missing from the display and a black handgun lying on the floor behind the structure. The power and phone wires had also been cut at the back of the facility.

Alpha Bravo notified its fans of the burglary on its Facebook page.

"The good news is that no one was here, so no one was hurt," it added. "The security system worked to the degree that our losses were minimized. The bad news is that there are no guns on the street, in the wrong hands, that were not on the street before."
