- Have you applied for your homestead exemption yet, which can help you save money on your property taxes? If you're 65 or older, you may be eligible for a new $10,000 exemption for the Fulton County Schools portion of your property taxes. This exemption has no income limit and is for Fulton County residents who don't live in Atlanta. You can use this link https://fultonassessor.org/online-service to apply or visit any Fulton County Tax Assessors Office; the deadline is April 3.
- Are you interested in participating in the Taste of Alpharetta this spring? If you're located in Roswell, Johns Creek, Alpharetta or Milton, this is a great opportunity to promote your establishment. This event typically has 40,000 attendees and is one of the largest food festivals in the south, with 60 + restaurants. "This year restaurant owners are also encouraged to help fight food insecurity by joining the food rescue initiative Goodr and donate any leftovers after the event. Goodr will pick up restaurants’ edible food waste and donate it to a local nonprofit after the event." (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- Milton Police are investigating two saddles that were stolen from a stable off of Wood Road in Milton on Feb. 28. - There has been some chatter about an NHL team returning to the Atlanta area. If it returns to Atlanta, there is a possibility that a new complex would be built in the suburbs, and Alpharetta might be the location. "The NHL has been in metro Atlanta twice. The Flames left in 1980 for Calgary and in 2021, the Trashers took off for Winnipeg." (11Alive.com WXIA)

- King's Ridge Christian School third graders had an educational field trip to Milton City Hall. They learned what City government does, met people from many departments and had presentations from Mayor Peyton Jamison, Police Chief Rich Austin, City Clerk Tammy Lowit and others. The school thanks the City of Milton for providing such a great experience! (King's Ridge Christian School via Facebook)
- Students from Midway Elementary School participated at FoCAL yesterday. The Honor Chorus learned eight songs and performed in a concert with elementary students from across the district. Great job Mustangs! (Midway Elementary via Facebook)
- The Alpharetta Lions Club will have a fundraiser next week at Casa Nuova Restaurant! On March 15, they will donate a portion of the proceeds from all purchases including meals, gift certificates and catering to support the club. These funds will be used for the Georgia Lions Camp, which supports individuals who are visually impaired. Campers have the opportunity to participate in sports, swimming, games, music and more!
