  1. Alpharetta Police Officer Bradley Rocks passed away last week due to an off-duty medical issue. He joined the department in 2006 and was known for his "easygoing personality, his infectious smile, his love for his wife and children, and his passion about being a motor officer." He's being honored in front of the Public Safety Headquarters by his motorcycle draped in black, placed in front of the flag poles. In lieu of flowers, his family is asking that donations be made to the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation and iCan Bike Alpharetta. (Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Facebook)
  2. The City of Milton has established a financial aid program to allow every child to participate in recreational and arts programs. Here is a link to apply for a scholarship: www.miltonga.gov/FinancialAid. There are various requirements including applicants must live in Milton, be 17 or under, and income. After approved, the application may be used for two programs over a six-month period. (City of Milton)
  3. It's time to sign up now for Alpharetta's recreational and arts programs starting later this year! You can download the Art & Culture Guide here https://adobe.ly/3Y2sADC, and printed copies will be available later at major recreation facilities. You can register online at bit.ly/3L0Mzh9i. Programs are open for Alpharetta residents starting today; non-residents can sign up on Aug. 9. (City of Alpharetta)
