- Milton Mayor’s Run: Jog for a Cause race will take place on June 3. It is a 5K, and a chance for runners to qualify for the Peachtree Road Race this summer. The city needs sponsors, who will have name recognition, and help to provide funds for local pediatric cancer patients. If your business is interested, check out our sponsorship packet. - Mark your calendar for the Song of Atlanta chorus a cappella concert on April 30. It will take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center located at 950 Forrest St. This group is one of the top three choirs in the world according to "Sweet Adelines International, an organization of over 500 member groups presenting a cappella music across the world. - Welcome to Jen Young, who is Milton's first Outdoor Recreation Supervisor. The purpose for this newly created position will be to manage all of Milton's greenspaces and add creative recreation programs. - There is sad news for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. Arnold, A K9 officer, passed away this week. He was home with his family and handler Maj. Lindgren at the time. Arnold started service in the K-9 unit in 2007 and was trained in drug detection, tracking and searchers. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Are you interested in being in Milton's summer production of "Schoolhouse Rock Live!"? There will be auditions on April 14-15 in the Community Center at Milton City Park and Preserve. They need actors ages 16 and up to play several characters. The play is scheduled for July 21-23 at Mill Springs Academy in Milton.
