Here are the top stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:

  1. A cow was hit by a car near Bethany Bend and the South Bethany Creek subdivision in Milton this Wednesday. The police found the cow and it is doing well. If you saw the cow that morning, call 678-297-6300. (Patch)
  2. A Roswell man was arrested for assault outside a Mexican restaurant on Holcomb Bridge Road. The victim had wounds on the face and chest. The suspect told police that the incident occurred after a verbal altercation. Police took the suspect to the Fulton County Jail. (Appen Media)
  3. Police recently made a huge drug bust in Holly Springs. They found a methamphetamine conversion lab inside a residence, with drugs worth more than $750,000. They took possession 17 pounds of methamphetamine laced with fentanyl, and arrested two suspects, who are James Aldred, 36, and Lynnette De Becker, 72, both of Canton. (WSB Atlanta)

  • A driver in Alpharetta was rescued by police and firefighters after their car went off the highway and ended up sideways. The driver couldn't exit the car, and firefighters helped him out to safety. The driver was brought to the hospital with minor injuries. (Alpharetta Department of Public Safety via Facebook)
  • Attention Alpharetta residents and businesses, do you have electronics or paper documents that you need to safely dispose of? You can bring them on May 6 to our Public Works Department, which is located at 1790 Hembree Road starting at 8:30 a.m. It will be open until noon that day. (City of Alpharetta GA via Facebook)
  • The Alpharetta Food Truck Alley was supposed to be tonight. However, due to the weather forecast, it will take place next Thursday. There will be live music and many types of food in downtown Alpharetta. (City of Alpharetta GA via Facebook)
  • Alpharetta motorists will be impacted by road construction taking place starting on April 29. There will be lane shifts and reduced speeds on GA-400. In addition, Kimball Bridge Road will be closed between North Point Parkway and Northwinds Parkway beginning May 8 for one year. The current bridge over the highway on Kimball Bridge Road will be demolished and a new one will be built. (City of Alpharetta GA via Facebook)
