Man Dies After Tree Falls on SUV at Fulton-Forsyth Line
Forsyth County authorities are on the scene of a fatality accident on Brookwood and McGinnis Ferry Road in Forsyth County.
A man died this afternoon after a tree toppled onto his vehicle at the intersection of Brookwood and McGinnis Ferry Road in South Forsyth County, according to authorities.
"A tree fell on top of an SUV," said Capt. Tim House with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
It is unclear at this time if the severe thunderstorm that passed through the county this afternoon in the one o'clock hour was the cause of the accident.

Capt. House said it appears that there is only one passenger in the vehicle, but said he did not know for sure, "we have several tons of tree on the vehicle."
Authorities are extricating the man out of the SUV.

Only the south end of Brookwood starting at its intersection McGinnis Ferry was closed, but expect particularly bad traffic snarls as motorists realize they can't turn right from McGinnis onto Brookwood this afternoon.
