Here are the top stories today in Alpharetta-Milton:
- Last Saturday, several thousand people attended a fun Community Egg Hunt in Milton. There were five separate hunts based on children's ages, inflatables, refreshments, face painting, art projects and more. Attendees also got to see the inside of a fire truck and a school bus. Many thanks to Stonecreek Church, Cambridge High School, KidCreate Studio and mother nature for a successful celebration. (City of Milton)
- Milton residents are invited to “Meet the Neighbors” on April 15 at the greenspace at Freemanville and Birmingham roads. This event starts at 10 a.m. and is a great time to know your neighbors, horses, those in the equestrian communities, and other animals. "If you are interested in having a table or being a vendor at this event (with no vendor fees required!), please email the City’s Community Outreach Manager Emily Salerno at Emily.Salerno@miltonga.gov." (City of Milton)
- Are you planning to be out of town for spring break? Alpharetta residents can sign up for the Vacation Watch Program while you're out of town. Your home will monitored for any suspicious activity. Here is a link to enroll: https://bit.ly/3lHOWLO (City of Alpharetta GA via Facebook)
- Pollen season is well underway and it's important to help your pet deal with any allergies. If you see your dog repeatedly cough or lick his feet, it could be a sign of inhalant allergies. Your veterinarian can provide antihistamines, and your pet might need allergy testing for severe cases. February was very warm, which will most likely result in greater amounts of pollen this spring. Pollen counts rise throughout the day, so morning is the best time to walk your dog. (WSB-TV)

He was selling a chair for $700, and the suspect allegedly said they would mail him a check for $700 by mail, plus $50 for a moving company. The victim received a check for $2,950 and was told to deposit the check and wire $2,200 to the moving company. He later found out that the check had bounced, and his account was overdrawn. (Appen)
- Alpharetta firefighters learned how to manage the flow of water in a pump operators' class.
