  1. The Milton High School girls lacrosse team are celebrating a sweet 16 victory. They won their 16th state championship when they defeated West Forsyth by 11-6 last week. Now they have the AAAAAAA title, which is the top division in the state. Congratulations to the Eagles! (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
  2. Are you curious about what it would be like to take a class with a sloth? There was one this past Saturday at Milton's City Park and Preserve. It was offered by Parks and Recreation, and students spent time with a sloth, fennec fox and a capybara. They also practiced mindfulness and relaxed with essential oils. (City of Milton)
  3. An Ohio high school teacher is being investigated by Roswell Police for a child exploitation case. He was arrested last week for improper online communications with someone who posed as a 16-year-old female. Brandon Gordon, 40, is being brought to Fulton County "to face charges of Use of Computer Service to Seduce, Solicit, Lure or Entice Child to Commit Illegal Act, Electronically Furnishing Obscene Material to Minors, Child Molestation, and two counts of Solicitation of Sodomy."   4. A student at a Kennesaw High School was allegedly raped by a male student in a school bathroom. The incident took place at Harrison High School, and the 15 year old reported that the rape occurred in a stall of the girls bathroom. Warrants have been issued for "sexual battery, child molestation and rape." (FOX 5 Atlanta)

  • A man tried to make a purchase with a possible fake $100 bill at the Walmart on Windward Parkway. He tried using it at the self-checkout lane, which wouldn't accept it. As a result, the store couldn't accept the bill, because they couldn't determine if it was legitimate. The bill was dated 1981, and the man was not arrested. (Appen Media)
  • Firefighters put out a house fire in Roswell, and the house belongs to Gordon Muir, the president of the group which runs the Varsity restaurants. The home was heavily damaged by the fire, which happened on Monday. The family was able to safely get out of the home, which is located in the Lakeside at Ansley subdivision. (WSB Atlanta)
  • Alpharetta is having a Memorial Day event in Brooke Street Park on Monday, May 29. It will start at 9:15 a.m. and is being run by the City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Rotary Club.
