Here are the top stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:

  1. Are you interested in learning about what's happening with Parks and Recreation in Milton? The Milton’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is meeting next Thursday at 6 p.m. and the public is invited to watch in person at City Hall, or online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSTXBF3u5uc. The discussion will include "programs in session this winter, such as basketball and Milton’s new arts program, as well as what’s to come." Another topic is how to recognize Milton's athletes and programs at Legacy Park. (City of Milton).
  2. Thompson Road in Milton is being repaved between Francis and Hopewell roads. Therefore, there will be delays as one lane will be closed during the project. Weather permitting, it should be done by the beginning of next week. (City of Milton)
  3. It's time to sign up for spring art activities in Alpharetta! There are many to choose from, including multimedia projects, painting, pottery and much more. Alpharetta residents can register now, and non-residents can start on Feb. 1. Go to www.alpharetta.ga.us/arts to register!

  • Alpharetta is offering a fun dance class for people ages eight and up with special needs or disabilities; it's called Adaptive Physio Jazz Class. It is designed to help participants relax and learn about jazz. It will be held at the Alpharetta Arts Center on Feb. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (City of Alpharetta)
  • Are you curious about how to drive on a roundabout? They can be confusing if you aren't sure how to enter them. You don't need to stop when entering unless there isn't an open lane. Their purpose is to keep traffic at a slower speed, not to stop it. (City of Alpharetta)
  • Roswell Restaurants Weeks has started; it runs from Jan. 19 to Feb. 5. Over 45 restaurants will be participating, and many will have prix fixe menus. A list of the restaurants can be found here https://www.roswellrw.com/
