Here are the top stories today in Alpharetta-Milton:
- The City of Milton Police need your help locating a suspect. This individual was recently performing lewd acts inside the Milton Target on Highway 9. If you recognize him, please contact the Milton Police Department. (City of Milton)
- The police have charged a Lawrenceville teenager for killing a Norcross High School student. Brendan Young, 18 years old, has been charged in connection with the shooting of DeAndre Henderson. Henderson, 17 years old, was shot near school property in Peachtree Corners. Please contact the police if you know his whereabouts. (WSB Atlanta)
- Providence Park in Milton is benefitting from a grant from the State of Georgia's Department of Natural Resources. In a few weeks, the porta- potties will be replaced by permanent restrooms. They will be located near the parking lot and the new wheelchair-accessible trail to the pier.(City of Milton)
- As always, parents are urged to check their children's Halloween candy. This year, there are reports of fentanyl that looks like sidewalk chalk or candy. While the risk of trick or treaters getting these tablets is low, adults are overdosing on fentanyl at record rates. (WSB Atlanta)

- Alpharetta has released a report card on the condition of streets in the city. The scores are used to determine which ones need repaving and other types of maintenence. This analysis was started last summer. Check out the report to see your street's score. (City of Alpharetta)
- Young professionals in the area are invited to a breakfast event at the new Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce office. It takes place at the Alpharetta Avalon, and you'll make new contacts, develop leads and and enjoy great coffee plus breakfast items. (Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce via Facebook)
- Cogburn Woods School in Milton earned a grant to help boost their agricultural program. Four public schools in Milton will use these Environmental Educational grants to educate students on the importance of sustainability and educational awareness. Cogburn Woods has a garden with chickens and the funds will pay for composting for organic matter, paper, pencil shavings and chicken manure. (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
