- Milton Firefighters recently taught City Hall employees a class on what to do when someone is bleeding profusely. This "Stop the Bleed" class is part of the Milton CARES program offered by the City. - Are you interested in learning what's happening in Milton regarding urban growth? There is a meeting of the Urban Growth Boundaries Group on Mon., Jan 31 at 6 p.m. at City Hall on that topic. - King's Ridge Christian Lower School students have the pleasure of attending "Mrs. Sheets" Cafe every month. Each time, she creates a new menu that includes items from around the world. The students learn the meal's nutritional value and then document their impressions after trying it. She has been running this program for 21 years at the school! - Roswell Police are investigating a case where a 21 year old woman is being extorted. Someone is texting her naked pictures of herself and threatening to share them with family and friends unless she sends them money. The woman confirmed that she is aware of the pictures but hadn't sent them to anyone. (Appen)
- A Woodstock man was robbed after meeting a woman for the first time. The two had an online relationship and met at his home. Katrina Leanne Minkema, 33, of Douglas, has been charged of stealing three firearms, plus magazines, worth over $1500 from the man. (Cherokee Tribune Ledger News)
