Here are the top three stories in Alpharetta-Milton today:

  1. The City of Milton has announced a six-week Summer Bootcamp that is set to run on Saturdays from Jun. 17 to Jul. 29. The classes will take place at Milton City Park and Preserve from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and will be led by certified instructor Tommy Martinetti of Emery Fit. Click here to learn more or sign up.   2. The City of Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Services has announced that Wills Park Pool is officially open for the summer! The pool will be open daily through Aug. 6, and Alpharetta residents can enjoy the pool for an admission fee of $5, pool passes are also available. Several special events and activities are scheduled, including Adaptive Swim Nights, Water Therapy, and Deep Water Exercise. There is also a water aerobics class scheduled for Mondays and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. through Jul. 24. Click here to see the full schedule.   3. The Alpharetta Farm at Old Rucker Park will be a host site for the Plant. Eat. Repeat. summer series with Food Well Alliance on Jun. 28 at 6:30 p.m. This free program covers integrated pest management and attendees will learn the basics of how to keep a garden free from pests like tomato hornworms or cucumber beetles. The program will also include an introduction to Alpharetta Farm's gardens as well as a question-and-answer section at the end of the session. Registration is available at this link.   • The Milton Police Department is participating in 100 Days of Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (HEAT). Through Labor Day, law enforcement officers are keeping an eye out for drivers who may be impaired, distracted, or driving aggressively. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and buckle up.   • The Downtown Alpharetta Farmers Market is highlighting one of its vendors. Epic Fresh Seafood offers fresh (never frozen) seafood options, as well as prepared items, such as Maryland crab dip and crab cakes. You can find them at the market on Saturdays.
