  1. The Milton Wall of Fame will be adding four new inductees this month including Callie O’Connor. She is an accomplished athlete, as she set a record for scoring the most soccer goals during a season at Milton High School. After that, she won additional awards while playing for Atlanta Fire United, Stars/Georgia Rush, Ambush, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, the Chicago Red Stars Reserves, and Rome Gladiators Indoor Soccer teams.   2. Do you have hazardous waste and paint that needs to be disposed of? City of Alpharetta residents can register for an event on Saturday, Nov. 12. Materials that will be accepted include paint, household chemicals and poisons. Sign up now as space is limited. (City of Alpharetta)

  4. Alpharetta and Milton residents saw a five cent drop in gas prices to an average of $3.20 per gallon last week. The lower prices are most likely the result of less demand. Other parts of the country experienced a similar drop last week. (Cobb County Courier)

  • Fulton County is conducting sewer repairs and maintenance along the Greenway and portions will be closed today. The closure will be on the section between Rockmill Park and Preston Ridge Park until noon. The County apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates your patience. (City of Alpharetta)
  • The City of Milton is offering free dance sessions for little ones on Nov. 10. These sessions will give them a chance to learn and have fun. If they're interested in signing up for lessons, registration for the Dec to Feb session is open now. (City of Milton)
  • The County Club of the South is holding a Charity Guild HOPE for the Holidays Shopping Event next week. It takes place on Nov. 2 in the Clubhouse Ballroom and there will be 25 local vendors selling treats, art, jewelry and much more. Tickets are available now.(Charity Guild)
