If you received an absentee ballot, make sure you complete it, sign it, and return it to the Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day. Make sure you use both envelopes.
If you change your mind and wish to vote in person, bring your absentee ballot with you and be prepared for a slightly longer process. Remember, voters cannot simply turn in their completed absentee ballots at Early Voting or Election Day polling places.
The easiest way to make sure your absentee ballot gets turned in by 7 p.m. on Election Day is to return it in an absentee ballot drop box. Fulton County has 38 secure absentee ballot drop boxes, and ballots are picked up daily. Ninety percent of Fulton County voters live within 3 miles of an absentee ballot drop box.
Know Before You Go!
If you plan to go to the polls on Election Day, know that your voting location may have changed. The county has added 91 new Election Day locations and thousands of Fulton County voters need to go to a new location on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Why so many polling place changes? According to county officials, with more locations, there are fewer voters assigned to each location, so lines will be shorter.
Voters who show up at a polling place on Nov. 3 that is not their assigned location will be required to vote on a provisional paper ballot.
The best way to check your assigned Election Day location is to go to the Georgia My Voter Page or to call the Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections at 404-612-7020.
Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
