1. Do you want to know what's happening in Alpharetta? The Alpharetta online Citizen tool helps you to do just that. You can see what's happening near any location in Alpharetta including police activity, permits and traffic service requests. 2. A recent study has named Alpharetta as the best place to live in Georgia! Reasons for this award include safety, restaurants, shopping and entertainment options. The study lists the best neighborhoods within Alpharetta are the Avalon, City Center and Windward. Other cities in the top five in Georgia are Johns Creek, Decatur, Canton and Atlanta. 3. Be on the lookout for rare blooming flowers in the area. For example, this link has pictures of flowers called pink lady’s slipper, or Moccasin flower, and they were recently found in Milton. These beautiful flowers are almost extinct due to too much harvesting. They need a specific type of soil, fungus, and bees generally don't pollinate them. • Are you interested in volunteering at the Milton Library? One option is to join a group that meets on Mondays to process book donations. The book sales take place on Tuesdays.
