Overturned School Bus Damaged In 3-Vehicle Pileup In Milton

MILTON, GA — Two people were taken to the hospital after a school bus, a car and a trash truck were involved in a pileup late Thursday afternoon at Birmingham Highway and Batesville Road, the Milton Fire Department said.

Fire crews said in a Facebook post the two people had to be transported for medical care. The school bus was not carrying children at the time of the crash.

In a photo the fire department shared on Facebook, a school bus was overturned, and the dump truck was seemingly severely damaged.

Details about how the crash happened were not available. The crash caused parts of Birmingham and Batesville to be closed for several hours.
