• Alpharetta in review: City ends 2025 with historic jail reopening (appenmedia.com) — Alpharetta has officially reopened the former Fulton County North Annex as the city-run Alpharetta Detention Center, investing $1.6 million and hiring new staff to improve local jail conditions and capacity. City leaders also reshaped the Public Safety Department and welcomed new council members, moves that could affect policing, emergency response, and future cooperation with Milton, Johns Creek, and Roswell.
