1 Dead In Plane Crash On Big Creek Greenway In Alpharetta

ALPHARETTA, GA — A person died Monday in a plane crash on Big Creek Greenway in Alpharetta, according to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

Big Creek Greenway is currently closed, according to city officials. There is no threat to the public.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area of Kimball Bridge Road at North Point Parkway.

There were two people onboard. The plane was preparing to land at the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, public safety officials said.
