  1. The Ramada Limited Suites at 3020 Mansell Rd. in Alpharetta has been sued because a woman was allegedly sex trafficked there when she was a minor. She claims that a man named "Kelvin" paid for rooms in cash during 2013- 2014 and threatened her with violence. Her complaint is that the hotel knew that it was being used for prostitution and benefited from that. (Appen)
  2. Today is the last day to sign up with a $0 join fee at the Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA. Adult members receive six free sessions with a wellness coach to help you create a program to achieve your goals! Here is a link to sign up online ymcaatlanta.org/join. (Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA via Facebook)
  3. Jonpaul’s Salon and Spa for Men on Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek received an alarming email from a client. He said that a spa employee made him upset, and his email discussed politics, race and his tough childhood. The spa couldn't identify the client because they have two customers with the same nae me. The staff called the Johns Creek Police, who were dispatched to the spa. (Appen)

  • A California man's entire $400K retirement savings was stolen at a Buckhead Chase Bank branch in Atlanta. A thief stole his rollover IRA check, made out to Vanguard Investments, from the mail and cashed at the Peachtree Road branch. The crook went on to open two bank accounts in the victim's name and wrote checks totalling $25,000. The bank said the following “We are reaching out to the U.S. Treasury Department so they can file a fraud report with us. That will allow us to send the $400,000 back to them and they can reissue the check to Mr. Siegelman or send him the money electronically.”(WSB-TV)
