Recycle Your Christmas Tree On Jan. 5 In Alpharetta

Residents can drop off their Christmas trees at The Home Depot on Windward Parkway for recycling.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Now that the Christmas holiday is receding in the rear-view mirror, you will have to find a suitable place to dispose of the tree that was the center of your decorations.

For Alpharetta residents, the city, Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission and Keep Georgia Beautiful will take part in the statewide Bring One for the Chipper campaign.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Alpharetta residents can drop off their Christmas trees for recycling at The Home Depot at 5300 Windward Parkway. Please make sure your trees are free of decorations before bringing them to the drop-off point.

Ferry Morse Seed Company has provided garden seed that will be available in exchange for your tree while supplies last, the city said.
